The design insights were finalized with the help of early concepts as well as insights from the interviews. Various early concepts were evaluated. A concept which was voted out at early stage due to technical limitations was a device helping parents track fruits and vegetables available in local market and prepare a shopping list. Below are some screenshots reflecting our iterative design process. These concepts were formalized keeping in mind the existing applications and software's in market for nutrient measurement, one of the competitor's was the mypyramid.gov website from USDA.

After 5 phases on redesign and evaluation we concluded the project with a fully functional prototype on a Android mobile device. For this prototype we conducted usability evaluation with 5 participants. Some of the heuristics will help us understand the usability behind the interface are touch pad usage, icon sizes, the text size visibility to the end users. 4 of the 5 participants understood the workflow for the application and the information architecture involved.
